Sah-weet! Brians back in action Looks like oyu've been getting to some nice places, my friend Excellent shot for sure! I like the merge. Do that with 2 shots sometimes but don't have the right program for true HDR. Just to chime in on you Shauns conversation, I do like some of the overcooked ones--some scenes seem to demand it but most nature shots need a more subtle approach I think.
Good Morning JOHN! Thanks for the Comment and always welcome enthusiasm! I have been picking up the camera from time to time and feeling better about it then I did a few months ago. still not back yet but working on it! And yes I agree some shots work well with HDR kind of like some shots work well in B&W. That's one of the great things about this site, is that you get a lot of opportunity to see all kind of style and images and lets you see just what kind of things can be done with an image!
Thank You So Much! From what I understand they family that use to live there had to take a boat to get across the river to take there kids to school at one point. not sure how long ago it was. over a hundred years ago I believe.. about all I know about it.
Oh man sorry to hear that Bro.. I'm super excited about the Book though.. Its going to be Fantastic I'm sure! Is it going to be Images or writing? or Both. I think I remember you talking about Doing one with your Nudes in it or maybe landscapes. it was awhile ago, I forget..
Its going to be art nudes (basically mixed content doesnt seem to work for books unless youre a big 'name' photographer and I didnt have anywhere near enough good quality landscapes or infrared shot to make a book)
So details so far - size = 11" x 8.5" and about 140-150 pages with approx 95-100 images Ive got 2 days with the graphics/layout people on the 26/27th, so with proof approvals etc it should be finalised mid November - then its takes about another week for it to appear on Amazon, Lulu and other outlets. It will also have an ISBN number so bookshops can order it
I started Way back and worked my way closer and all around the light house and by the time I got up to it they stopped giving tours for the day . In fact it was the last day of the year they where offering tours. the inside was a gift shop for the most part.. but still would have been cool to get shots from the top over looking the ocean.
Thanks So Much Shaun! I agree about the old style HDR Even if I was One of them I cant wait to see some of the HDR shots out of the new camera! Wasn't sure if i cared much about that feature in a camera but cant say i have seen how any of them come out as of yet. so it will be interesting. Hope all is well my friend!
