I love the time of day that this photograph was taken at. The sunset really gives this piece its beauty and dark tone. Had it been taken at any other tie of day the rocks would show more of their lighter colors, and the intense colors of the sky reflecting on the water would be your average day-time blue and green of the sky and sea The water reflects the light resplendently and the rocks jutting out from the water disturb the current in a beautiful way.the sea foam adds an almost surreal edge to the photo, a fringe of fantasy. In all, it is a 5 star photo. I was very happy to critique this, as it is very calming.
Majestic! It's the only thing I can think of to say, Brian. AWESOME is over-used (by me anyway) I wanted to convey my feeling of how totally lucky you are to be so close to the ocean and great palces like this--places that AREN'T frozen
I have to say I love the Ocean, a bit more then the mountains but I think what makes them both equally amazing is the Kind of clouds they have over them! water or land a great sky can make magic!
I've seen the oceans and the Gulf but never got to spend any time at any of them except when my wife and I went to Key West back in 2005. Chartered a small boat for an afternoon but it was so rough we had to go in after an hour or so. Was in Plymouth, Mass. at low tide once and that was enough to run me off was at Seal Beach for about 1/2 hour once back in 1992. About long enough to get sand in my shoes. all of this before I was interested in photography. One day, I'm coming to Cali to drive the PCH and do nothing but shoot and drive my way up the coast
No need to be Sorry Bro! That's the BEST Plan I have Heard ALL DAY! I drove up 101 from Clear Lake California all the way up to Gold Beach Oregon and The Ocean WAS AMAZING! You bring your as here and Ill make sure I Give you the Grand Tour of the West Coast!
